The Media Preview Plugin for Payload CMS allows users to view images, videos, audio files, and documents right within the admin panel. It supports inline previews in list view cells and offers popup previews on desktop and fullscreen modals on mobile devices. Built-in viewers are available for various media types including PDFs and Office documents, enhancing content management capabilities. The plugin's configuration allows extensive customization. Users can set display modes and content modes for specific collections, controlling how media is presented. It includes an extensible adapter system for custom viewer implementations and does not require any database fields, functioning as a virtual UI field. The plugin can be easily integrated into existing Payload setups, enabling enhanced media management features seamlessly.
