About

This package is a set of helper functions for generating Schema.org JSON-LD, the structured data format Google reads for rich results. It targets storefronts built on Payload CMS v3. Each builder takes a Payload document or site settings and returns a plain object you serialize into a `<script type="application/ld+json">` tag in your Next.js pages or layouts. The builders cover Product with an AggregateOffer that uses `lowPrice`, optional AggregateRating from review data you pass in, BreadcrumbList for nested category paths, ItemList for shop and category pages, WebSite with a SearchAction, and Organization. The plugin export is a no-op. `seoJsonLdPlugin` returns the config unchanged and adds no collections, fields, hooks, or endpoints. Integration happens in your frontend code, not in the Payload admin or database layer. Prices are stored in cents in Payload, so the builders divide by 100 before output. The currency defaults to EUR and accepts any ISO 4217 code. The main limits are on the caller side. Breadcrumbs need products fetched at depth 3 so that parent categories are populated. `buildItemListJsonLd` returns `null` for an empty array, and Google treats two or more ItemList scripts on one page as invalid, so each page should emit at most one. Review values are not read from Payload; you supply `averageRating` and `reviewCount` yourself. The package is MIT-licensed, depends on Payload ^3.0.0 as a peer, and was written for European jewelry shops.
