Payload-agent integrates an AI chat agent into your Payload CMS, allowing users to query and manage content through messaging platforms like Telegram, Slack, and WhatsApp. This plugin utilizes Chat SDK for multi-platform messaging, TanStack AI for model orchestration, and Code Mode to execute TypeScript against the Payload Local API securely. Users can customize the agent by selecting one AI provider and one or more chat adapters, with support for providers like Anthropic and OpenAI. It allows users to perform actions such as querying collections, creating and updating documents, and managing file uploads seamlessly through their chat applications. The plugin provides integration options for localization, media uploads, and access control configurations, making it suitable for various content management needs. While the core functionalities are in place, some features like outbound media handling are still in progress.
