Masquerade

About

The Masquerade plugin allows administrators to switch users within Payload CMS without needing a password. Once activated, administrators can surf the site as the selected user and easily switch back to their own account. To set up the plugin, include it in the Payload configuration with options for customizing the authentication collection and enabling or disabling specific features such as the admin form. The plugin includes an integrated user selection UI for switching accounts, secure cookie-based authentication, and the option to log masquerade actions for auditing. Endpoints for starting and ending a masquerade session are automatically created, ensuring seamless user interface interaction with the system. Callbacks can be defined to execute custom actions during masquerade events, providing flexibility for different workflows.
